There are places you visit, and then there are places that feel as though they’ve been designed with your soul in mind. For me, that place is PinkCoco Gili Air.
As a middle-aged solo traveller with a weakness for colour, character and a good dose of comfort, I’ve stayed in my fair share of hotels over the years. But PinkCoco? It has quite genuinely stolen my heart.

A Hotel That Dares to Be Pink
Let’s start with the obvious — the colour.
If you love beige, this is not the place for you. But if, like me, your heart skips a beat at the sight of vibrant hues and playful design, you’ll feel right at home the moment you walk in.
Shades of pink greet you everywhere — soft blush tones, bold fuchsia accents, rose-tinted details that feel joyful rather than gimmicky. It’s stylish without being silly. Whimsical without being childish. And for someone who adores the colour pink (and refuses to apologise for it at my age), it feels wonderfully liberating.
There’s something rather delicious about staying somewhere that doesn’t take itself too seriously, yet still delivers real quality.
Why I Keep Going Back
I’ve learnt that joy matters.
PinkCoco makes me feel joyful. It celebrates colour. It invites playfulness. It encourages you to relax, to take photos, to enjoy your own company and to revel in beauty — whether that’s in a sunset, a perfectly plated meal, or a pink-painted wall.
Some places simply suit you. They match your energy.
For me, PinkCoco Gili Air is one of those places. It’s not just a hotel. It’s a mood. A palette. A little reminder that life, at any age, can and should be gloriously colourful.
And yes — I’ll absolutely be going back in June!
